Patch 1.0.4 Info Coming Soon

The Diablo III developers have been hard at work on some exciting new features and updates for the game. Many of you have asked for more details, and Blizzard is busily preparing several developer blogs filled with information on what's coming in patch 1.0.4. Diablo 3 character profiles now available and all you need to do is log in with your Battle.net account (look for the login box in the upper-right hand corner of your screen) to access character profiles from any page on the Diablo III community site. Kripparrian and Krippi have done it! They are the first in the world to kill hardcore Inferno Diablo hours before the nerf patch was about to be rolled out which means they will be the only ones in the world to have truly beat an un-nerfed Diablo. The kill was confirmed by Bashiok on twitter which officially makes them the first in the world. Check out the video below to see how it was done!

Diablo III patch 1.0.2a is now live in the Americas! Check out the full patch notes below to learn about all the latest changes. You will not be prompted to download patch 1.0.2a until the patch is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Bashiok explains how gems are used to help augment the gear you get by adding some of the more sought after affixes on top of the affixes on your gear. As items can't roll two of the same stat (although hybrid affixes can overlap) a socket allows you to stack more of a specific stat. So even if you reach the upper limit of a specific stat on an item, with a socket you can overcome that limitation. Want to really stack VIT? As Blizzard mentioned earlier this week, they’ve decided to move out their target launch for the real-money auction house beyond their original estimated date of May 22. Blizzard's new estimated date for the launch of this new system is Tuesday, May 29. So for all you slackers who still don't know the in's and outs of the auction house, check this out!
