    Interview with Chris "Telandra" Eveler

    Kari Fortier:
So Chris! recently in the NESL Premier League you guys took second place claiming $1200 plus a pro series spot in ESL, How did you guys feel for the tournament and were you surprised by the results or any teams in the tournament?

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
Well Kari, we were definitely excited to have been a part of this tournament from the get go, as there were a number of up and coming teams that posed a great threat. We had strong feelings about our success in the tournament but were surprised mostly by CLG Black and how much they've improved being such a new team. This was our first time meeting them on in a match and it was quite an eye opener.

    Kari Fortier:
This was your first tournament with your new AD bottom right? what is with the change up and who is the new AD bottom of Lzuruha?

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
Yes, this was our first official tournament with our new AD Carry Tyler "LzH Ecko" Orr. As a team we felt that in order to accomplish more in the League of Legends professional scene we needed to make a change to our bottom lane. Our previous AD carry and leader of the Lzuruha LoL team, Matt "Dejest3r" Rucinski, had a large amount of real life duties to attend to and it was affecting his ability to keep up with the team. It was a tough decision to make but we thought it was best for the team, and he understood. We tried out "Eckoh"(at the time) and found him to be an extremely good fit for our team in terms of ability to mesh with the team, both in game and out of game.

    Kari Fortier:
How did you find your new AD Bottom? you guys seemed to mesh together very well for your first tournament as a whole.

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
He was actually found through our support player Dylan "LzH At0mic" Newton. He mentioned Eckoh was an incredibly good AD Carry player through experiences at high elo solo queue and that they had played together a few times already. I contacted Eckoh and found he was interested in moving into the professional LoL scene so we went from there. All in all it seemed a sign of good luck to find someone skilled enough and able to mesh with our support and team so quickly.

    Kari Fortier:
What is next for LzH.LoL? What tournaments should fans and followers be eyeing to see you guys play again?

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
We've actually got a number of tournaments coming up in the next month to be on the watch for. This weekend we're doing a tournament hosted by Vexillifer ESports with a grand prize of $250 Cash and RP for each player. Over the next few weeks we have larger tournaments hosted by Solomid.net that we were invited to. These have prize pools ranging from $2,000 to $8,000 each, and should be basically every weekend of July. Also coming up are Qualifiers for the IPL 5 LAN event, the qualifiers themselves with a $1,000 grand prize. This is going to be a very exciting month for the LzH.LoL team!

    Kari Fortier:
Seems like it for sure! but I have a question for you! how does your team keep in shape since lately the servers have been unreliable in North American? Do you think Riot should maybe implement a LAN like or offline setting for people to be able to practice?

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
Well currently it's been a slow week because of server instability and incredibly long log-in queues. To promote team synergy we play together on the EU West servers which are stable despite the NA server problems. This keeps us in touch with each other even if the skill level of our opponents is much lower. A LAN function would honestly help if teams wanted to practice against other professional teams in a tournament setting. I would think that a "practice realm" would be incredibly beneficial to emulate a tournament setting. I don't however see this happening any time soon.

    Kari Fortier:
Yeah I think ted stickles could use that since in a game way back he got out jungled by the master here in the flesh! So you feel with this downtime that only North America is currently experience shouldn't effect your team play in these upcoming tournaments?

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
Yes Ted can always use the practice, haha. On the note of practice, I'm not going to say it won't affect us, any time lost due to server instability is definitely going to hurt us. But these tournaments are only including other North American teams so they are in the same situation as we are. We can only hope that the servers instability problem is fixed as soon as possible so we can go back to regular practice schedules.

    Kari Fortier:
Well i wish you and the LzH.LoL team the best of luck in the upcoming tournaments and future as well offering ted stickles another chance to challenge me in a 1v1 to redeem himself! Other than that do you have any shoutouts you would like to make?

    Chris "Telandra" Eveler:
I'm sure Ted will be up to the challenge! On another note, yes we would like to shout out to the sponsors of Lzuruha: Steelseries, Maxfrag, and EO Reality. I would also like to shoutout to the Lzuruha management because without you guys we wouldn't be a team in the first place. If you haven't already check out our teams website at www.mylzh.net for news of everything Lzuruha has coming up!

    by Ari
Recently a lot of League of Legends teams have been disbanding or shaking up their rosters. Curse has also just announced a shake up with their line up due to the performance in LCS. Curse management decided to bump David “Cop” Roberson down to the Curse Academy roster and bring in the SKT1 titan Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin to take over the ADC role now for Curse for 2015 LCS season. I think its safe to say all eyes will be on Curse in their first match to see if Piglet and Curse made the ri...

  • Update to Summoner's Rift Incoming
    by Disenchantment
The new Summoner's Rift will be rolling out soon but what does it really mean? the fundamental structure of the map remains untouched. Flashable walls, turret ranges, lane sizes, brush interaction and ward placements are exactly as they are on the current map so what is the update really? Riot is trying to create clarity when it comes to spectating the game and create less confusion for the players with the current textures. When fights break out, the environment should be the background, allo...
