  • Lzuruha's Inertia Qualifies for UBCEA LoL Intracollegiate League 2 Playoffs

Lzuruha's League of Legends Team Inertia recently played a set against Use the Elements to determine qualification for play in the UBC playoffs. Here's a brief overview of their matches:

Their first game was a really rough one. Lzuruha picked Graves, Jarven, Orianna, Cho Gath, and Thresh. Use The Elements picked Vi, Lulu, Kayle, Singed, and twitch. The early game was just a farm fest, not much in the way of champion fighting. However, UTE picked up the pace and played hyper aggressive, shutting down Lzuruha's mid and jungler. Inertia was shoved out of early laning phase, which resulted in UTE snowballing out of control. UTE picked up a kill on Baron at the 20 minute mark and Lzuruha surrendered for the first game.

For the second match, Lzuruha picked Draven, Nocturne, Twisted Fate, Renekton, and Taric. Use The Elements went with Jarven, Thresh, Pantheon, Rumble, and Twitch. This time, the game was pretty one-sided, starting with Lzuruha's Draven picking up a first blood on Pantheon. Lzuruha's bottom lane stayed ahead most of the game as the rest of the team roamed around, picking up kills all about the map. Lzuruha kept the objectives timed and pressured and UTE couldn't keep up with Lzuruha's aggressiveness in every single lane. Inertia ended up grabbing Baron at 35 minutes and ended the game.

Lzuruha picked Miss Fortune, Taric, Amumu, Diana, and Rumble for their third run and tie-breaker. Use the Elements picked Nautilus, Draven, Nidalee, Lulu, and Lux. Inertia's game plan this time was to not let UTE split-push and to pressure all lanes into sticking with Inertia's momentum. Lzuruha strongly engaged bottom every encounter and pulled ahead of Element's Draven and Lulu. Inertia had all their outer turrets and bottom lane inhibitor down by the 25 minute mark while UTE's Nidalee kept split pushing top lane. Lzuruha snowballed throughout the match and pushed Use the Elements straight out of laning phase so they couldn't react to any counter pushes. This caused UTE to be destroyed in team fights, earning Inertia the tie-breaking win!

Lzuruha's Team Inertia (ranked 9) will be advancing into the RO16 bracket for the UBCEA LoL Intracollegiate League 2 Playoffs. If they win their first game against Spooky Scary Skeletons (ranked 8), they will advance to the LAN series. • Team Curse Adds Piglet
    by Ari
Recently a lot of League of Legends teams have been disbanding or shaking up their rosters. Curse has also just announced a shake up with their line up due to the performance in LCS. Curse management decided to bump David “Cop” Roberson down to the Curse Academy roster and bring in the SKT1 titan Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin to take over the ADC role now for Curse for 2015 LCS season. I think its safe to say all eyes will be on Curse in their first match to see if Piglet and Curse made the ri...

    by Disenchantment
The new Summoner's Rift will be rolling out soon but what does it really mean? the fundamental structure of the map remains untouched. Flashable walls, turret ranges, lane sizes, brush interaction and ward placements are exactly as they are on the current map so what is the update really? Riot is trying to create clarity when it comes to spectating the game and create less confusion for the players with the current textures. When fights break out, the environment should be the background, allo...
