Krosus is a massive doom lord and the fourth boss of the Nighthold. During the battle for the Broken Shore, Krosus was summoned by Gul'dan to kill Tirion Fordring, after which he was defeated by the combined forces of the Alliance and the Horde to just appears back in Nighthold for revenge.

This colossal doom lord, one of the largest and mightiest creatures in the armies of the Legion, was defeated at the Broken Shore through the combined might of the greatest heroes of the Horde and the Alliance. Having recovered from his wounds, Krosus emerges from the bay between the Nighthold and the Tomb of Sargeras to crush any who would oppose the Legion.

    Whats different with Mythic Krosus?

On Mythic difficulty, Krosus will summon many more Burning Pitch pools than on previous difficulties of the encounter, far more than the raid can soak.
    • All players should try to soak multiple Burning Pitch pools whenever possible
    • Use a defensive cooldown when soaking overlapping Burning Pitch pools
This will result in more Burning Ember adds, representing a more significant distraction from Krosus DPS.

In addition, Krosus will periodically empower an add with Accelerate, making it larger and causing it to rapidly gain Energy.
    • An Accelerated Burning Ember will gain Energy at a rate of 10 every 1.3 seconds
    • Upon reaching full Energy, 13 seconds after gaining Accelerate, the Burning Ember will Burnout
    • This destroys the Burning Ember, but also deals fatal Fire damage to the entire raid
    • The raid must quickly swap to any Accelerated Burning Ember and kill it before it can reach full Energy
It is important to control where the Burning Ember adds spawn. If Burning Embers spawn far behind the raid, players may not notice when those Embers become Accelerated, and may not be able to kill them in time. Ranged must soak all distant Burning Pitches, and ideally only Burning Pitches that are between the ranged and melee's natural stack points will go unsoaked.
