Recently with a lot of devs and community managers in the gaming scene shifting new spots, Riot's Trigg also will be leaving his position and moving to Amazon AWS security team.

I can't believe I'm writing this. I never thought I would.
I'm moving on from Riot after probably the best two (and a little more) years of my life. When I came here I had been accepted to UW in Seattle and passed on the acceptance to come work for what was my dream company. My plan was to finish school down here.
Unfortunately that never happened, I either couldn't find the right program or it was too expensive to finish. My current 2 year is in Criminal Justice so if I wanted to get a degree in computer science or computer security I'd have to take a bunch of pre req classes like intro to networking and intro to Linux, which I don't need.
I found a program in Seattle that was willing to waive the prerequisites and accept me into their bachelor program.
I got an offer from the Amazon AWS security team and combining that with the acceptance into the Seattle school makes it a hard opportunity to pass up. So I'll be moving to Seattle at the beginning of next month and my last day at Riot is 9/2.
I'll always be a Rioter in my heart. I've made friends here that I hope I don't lose contact with. I've made friends at events and online that will hopefully stick with me through life. Hopefully after I finish my degree and get some more experience I can transition back to gaming because it's ultimately where I want to be.
