  • Shadow Temple Guide

We start out the Shadow Temple by crossing the pit with the Longshot before using the Lens of Truth to pass the barrier. We cant get across the next giant pit without some help however so we head into the gravesite. Here we use the Lens of Truth to find the correct passageways. The first takes us to a room with a few Keese and a ReDead, taking them all down gets us the Dungeon Map. We then continue deeper in to find ourselves in another Mini-Boss battle with Dead Hand, after taking him down the same way, we get the Dungeon Item, the Hover Boots. These boots are equipped like the Iron Boots are, but allow us to hover slightly above the ground, they also allow us to hover above pits for s short time.

Now with the Hover Boots we can cross the 2nd pit so we head back to that room. Once there, the bird statue in the center needs to be pointing to the Skull of Truth. Using the Lens of Truth on all the skull poles around the statue will show one that doesnt dissapear, that is what we want. We pull the dial of the statue to point at the Skull and open the gate across the pit. Next we equip the Hover Boots and get a rolling start off the ledge to cross the gap into the rest of the Shadow Temple.

From here we run down a long hallway and find 3 doorways guarded by a Beamos. The left and right doors are fake and we can walk right through them (Note: The right door holds the Compass, but I forgot to get it and ended up coming back in the beginning of Part 66, so either get it now or wait to follow me.) We head into the left doorway and duck underneath the scythes of two grim reaper statues in the center while collecting silver rupees around the room, this unlockes the path to our 1st Small Key. From here we head back to the 3 doorways and go to the middle one, this one is real and we use bombs to blow it open. We head down a long hall taking out Big Skulltula's and dodging Guilliotines until we get to an open area. Navi warns us of Wallmasters before we cross a few more gaps and Guillotines. From here we land on a platform and duel a Stalfos before using the Lens of Truth to see hidden platforms leading to a door on the left. Once inside we find an invisible twin Reaper statue trying to kill us as well as a few Keese and a Like Like. Taking down the Keese and Like Like allow us access to Gold Skulltula #82 and some supplies.

We start out back at the beginning pit, because I forgot to get the Compass in the right side door (as I explained in the previous video.) Once I get it we head back to the area where we dueled the Stalfos and head right this time, carefully jumping onto the chained platform once it hits the bottom of its lift. It will slowly rise up now, letting us jump off once it hits the top so we can collect more Silver Rupees, thus unlocking the nearby gate..

In the room beyong the now opened gate, we will find two crushers covered in spikes and a sign that says to find the "stone umbrella". Look for the face in the floor and to its right behind an invisible wall is the giant block nicknamed the "stone umbrella". We pull it out and push it along the path to protect ourselves from the spiked crushers. Along the way we enter one of the cells to find Gold Skulltula #83. (If you line the giant block up just right, you can have it block off both skiped crushers.) Once we get the Gold Skulltula we pull the giant block the rest of the way across the room and climb up it to get to the upper level. From here we run along the spiked crushers to hit the switch and get our next Small Key. We then backtrack to where the Silver Rupees were and use the Lens of Truth to see some invisible platforms leading to a door across the room, and carefully move over to it.

Inside this next room are more Silver Rupes but there are invisible spike traps along the floor and ReDeads too so watch out! We also need to use the Lens of Truth to see invisible Longshot targets to collect other Silver Rupees. Collecting them all unlocks the nearby door and allows us in. Inside we find some Fire Keese and quickly take them out. We also fing Gold Skulltula #84 and a Giant flaming Skull Pot. We toss a Bomb inside it to blow it up and reveal our next Small Key.

Back in the invisible spike trap room, we use the Lens of Truth to see a Longshot target and use it to get to the upper door. Once inside we equip our Iron Boots to keep the wind from blowing us away, and navigate the path, we then use the Longshot on the nearby wooden bar to cross the gap without taking off our Iron Boots. Once in the next long hallway we head into the room straight ahead. Once inside we take off the Iron Boots and play the Sun's Song to freeze the ReDeads. The face on the wall tells us what we need to do next so we head back outside the room. On our right will be an fake wall guarding the real path. To get to it, we equip our Hover Boots and run with the nearby fan behind us to let the wind push us along to the pathway. Once inside the next room we use the Sun's Song to aid us in taking out some Gibdo and then bomb a small pile in the corner to find an invisible chest holding our next Small Key.

As we start, we pull a block out of the wall and along the path to allow us to board the ship. (This also reveals a shrtcut towards the entrance of the dungeon. But before we board the ship, we play the Scarecrow's Song and summon Pierre across the way to get to Gold Skulltula #85. We now board the ship and play Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce Insignia to make the ship move. Along the way to our destination, two Stalfos will jump on deck and duel us.once defeated (or if you take too long) Navi will alert us that the ship is sinking and we need to abandon ship. So we jump off and watch it sink. From here we head into the nearby doorway to enter a maze with 3 doors, one in each corner. This maze consists of invisible walls and Floormasters so watch your back in here. We use the Lend of Truth to navigate the maze and enter the first door. Inside we find an invisible Floormaster and defeat it easily to get our final Small Key. Once inside the next room we find Gold Skulltula #86 and three more Skull Pots, these hold rupees if you want them. In the final room we will immedatly have two spiked wooden walls closing in on us, we use Din's Fire to burn them and get the Boss Key. We now navigate our way back to where we abandoned ship and fire an arrow into the bombs to blow up the statue across the way and make a bridge. Next we open the nearby door and find the Boss Door floating in the middle of nowhere, we use the Lens of Truth and Hover Boots to navigate our way over to it. Lastly we get prepared for ther Boss Fight.

Items Needed: Bow, Lens of Truth, Hover Boots (this will help keep him from bouncing you around but i'd rather bounce than slip and slide everywhere.)

The arena is a giant...bongo? that Bongo Bongo will hit repeatedly to make you bounce, the outer rim is a pit of acid that will steadily hurt you until you climb back onto the Bongo.

Bongo Bongo's attacks: He has a series of attacks from slamming his hand down onto you, to slapping you across the room or even punching you in the face. All do a bit of damage, and once his hands are stunned he will ram you off the bongo, so watch out!

Strategy: Simple to do, use your Bow to shoot each hand with an arrow. This will stun them as they turn an obvious blue color. Right afterwards use your Lens of Truth to see his main body and fire an arrow into his eye to stun him, before moving in to stab the hell out of his eye. Repeat for a simple win. Note: you cant shoot an arrow into his hand if its curled into a fist!
