  • Ganon's Castle Guide

We start out by approaching Ganon's Castle. The sages work together and create a rainbow bridge for us to cross safely. Once inside we notice a Force Field over the main tower and in order to dispel it we need to dispel the 6 Barriers. We first go to a secret area shown with the lens of truth and get some fairies.

We then enter the Shadow Room and collect the Golden Gauntlets which give us increased strength beyond the Silver Gauntlets, before dispelling the Shadow Barrier for Impa. The Barriers can only we destroyed with Light Arrows! (Watch your footing very carefully!)

Next we leave Ganon's Castle and head around to our left to get to the Great Fairy Fountain from the Past. The Final Great Fairy rewards us with a Defensive Power Upgrade that makes our hearts in the top left get surrounded with a white outline, and that causes us to take half the damage we use to take.

We start out by entering Forest room and dispelling the Forest Barrier for Saria. (Be very careful in the whirlwind chamber and use your Hover Boots wisely.)

We now enter the Fire Room and dispel the Fire Barrier for Darunia. (it you fall in the lava you will have to do the whole room over again so I suggest using the Hover Boots because the main long platform will not sink on you)

Finally we enter the Water Room and dispel the Water Barrier for Ruto. (This room isn't too difficult just make sure you snag some blue fire and memorize the Ice Puzzle)

We start out by clearing the Spirit Room and cutting the Spirit Link then moving on to the Light Room and cutting the Light Link, finally lowering the Tower's Force Field. We then climb the tower and fight the various monsters along the way and get the Boss Key. The Final Battle is coming...

The arena is a medium sized square that Ganondorf will always be hovering over, surrounded by a ton of smaller squares and 4 more medium sized squares in the corners. At the start of the fight Ganondorf will create a shock wave and destroy the small platforms that are touching his medium platform. Each spell of his that hits a platform will cause that platform to fall so be careful if you fight on the small platforms, he cant destroy the medium ones in the corners though.

Ganondorf's attacks: He will charge a spell and toss it at you which will hurt pretty bad if you fail to hit it. Secondly he will charge a massive spell which will break into several smaller spells, which obviously will hurt too.

Strategy: As soon as it starts, run to either a corner or the farthest you can get from him and make sure you can see him. He will charge a spell and toss it at you, accept his offer to play tennis and slice the spell back at him just like you did for Phantom Ganon earlier on. He will use his cape to send it back, so repeat until he it stunned by it. Immediatly afterwards get out your Light Arrows and shoot him with one to fully stun him and make him drop to his knees on the platform beneath him. Jump over and slash him up for damage and repeat. Note: if he charges his Massive spell you can either send it back with a charged spin attack or just immediatly hit him with a Light Arrow as he cant defend himself while using both hands to charge.

In this part we climb down the tower while dodging falling rubble and eventually battle a pair of Stalfos to save Zelda. Then we safely escape.

The Arena is a circular area with semi destroyed pillars that you can have Ganon hit to get you supplies.

Ganons attacks: He will slice at you with his twin swords which hurts very badly.

Strategy: You can shoot arrows into his eyes to annoy him and use that to get around behind him to his tail which is his weak spot. You can hit his tail with almost any weapon to damage him but I prefer either the Biggoron Sword or the Megaton Hammer. Another easy way is to just roll between his legs or fire Light Arrows into his eyes which will stun him much much longer. After enough damage is done his fire arena will disappear and you will have to go grab the Master Sword back.

Phase Two: Which is exactly the same as the last, but when he drops you MUST finish him with a stab to the face with the Master Sword or you cant win.
