FF6 Glitchless Speedrun PAL PSN Version

Hey everyone, I'm currently doing Speedruns of FF6 Glitchless, my current PB is 9:45h( probably a record by default because nobody runs this category with this Version besides me yet which I'm trying to improve. If you're interested in watching just check me out(twitch.tv/wypy)

Glitchless means no Vanish + Doom/X-Zone or manipulating Setzers slots. Also stuff like the Relm sketch glitch or the Celes skip is forbidden. (and many things more )

The PAL PSN Version is the slowest Version of this Game, why do I run it? Because I can!

The Glitchless category is mostly run by Japanese runners. The English speaking community likes to run any% (like Essentia and MisterMV). I try to bring this exciting and unexplored category out to everyone.

Died to Kefka in the final battles yesterday and he had less than 3000 HP left. Paused my splits when he killed me.



So no new record yet but I think sub 9 hours is possible in this category with practice/optimization and patience

So yeah, I know some stuff about your Edgar route but have you found something that would be really legit to use compared to the Celes and Shadow route (or a little of both) ?

I actually want to test out some stuff even if I'm still 100% into any%. But I'm seriously considering Glitchless.

the thing with using celes in a shadow route is that you don't get the gem box. so shes limited to 1 spell a turn, so max damage is 9999. Edgar with the dragoon boots and the dragon horn can jump2-4 times a turn. He easily Solos Goddess with the Aura lance and can deal more damage on against the final bosses. 2 jumps = 1 Celes spell, but 3-4 jumps means more damage. also the air time makes him invincible for that duration. Another factor might be that if edgars in the Air while you defeated a Tier of the final battles, he gets that turn as a first strike against the next tier which means additional damage as well.
