  • The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

    Hello!

Happy to join the team I personally worked on notes for the routing (still in progress for co-op) based on the videos that were up on SDA and the YouTube account of the current WR holder zmaster91.

Here is a link to the Google Doc for Four Swords Adventures:

There are some other cool links to check out if people are interested in running this game that are listed in the "Zelda Stuff" section on my twitch page at http://www.twitch.tv/26pt2

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures for the Gamecube is designed for co-op play, which requires using the Gameboy Advance as a controller via a special GCN-GBA cable. However, the game is playable using a regular Gamecube controller for the single player mode. Due to the ability to control 4 Links at once, there are plenty of neat optimization tricks that make use of switching Links. In addition, there are awesome glitches, most of which abuse the way that the game does formations. This is a neat game to speedrun due to the way that the game is broken up into individual levels and stages. Thus, it is easy to practice on console in order to learn how to run each level.
    Personal Bests:

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures on the Nintendo GC - notes
    Any% (single player) - 3:19:57 - PB Video
    Any% (2P co-op) - 5:30:35 - PB Video

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords on the Nintendo GBA - notes
Palace of the Four Swords (OoB, SS) - 44:48 - PB Video
    Four Swords (2P co-op) - 43:28 - PB Video
