Classic Decks Battle Coming to Clan Wars!

Recently, we ran a Blind Deck Challenge called "Archetype Deck" and it was so well received that we decided to make it a Clan Wars Collection Day game mode!
We imagined the now-renamed "Classic Decks" as a way to show players the power of each strategy in the game. Many cards demand an entire deck built around them - these cards are called 'win conditions'. We picked the 12 most beloved win conditions in the game and created decks around them.
These decks were designed to be very linear, focused on executing a single strategy as clearly as possible. Each deck has no more than 2 Legendary Cards, so when you unlock a new Legendary you have a clear recipe for success - just use a Classic Deck as your starting point!
We think the Classic Decks Battle is a great way for new players to jump right into Clan Wars at level 8 and prove their prowess, while learning about all the strategies Clash Royale has to offer!
We're excited to add this mode to Clan Wars because it will be the first time that players will ALWAYS have a tournament-levels battle available on Collection Day! Starting with the June update, your Collection Day options will be:
    1v1
    • Classic Decks (tournament levels)
    • Draft (tournament levels)
    • Sudden Death (own-card levels)
    2v2
    • Normal Elixir (own-card levels)
    • Double Elixir (own-card levels)
Now players of every level will have a unique game mode to compete in. This is just one of many Clan Wars improvements coming in the June update, so while you wait check out all 12 Classic Decks below:
Tap on a deck name to copy it to your Battle Decks! The origin of the Archetype Deck Challenge came from looking at our past Blind Deck Challenges – most of the decks were either themed (like Goblins) or designed by very high-skill pro players (King's Cup 2). We lacked a "starter deck" type of Blind Deck Challenge, where players could see clear-cut meta decks and get a recipe for success in their own deck slots.
We built the first Archetype Deck Challenge with 10 decks, based on 12-win Grand Challenge decks, top tier ladder play and successful esports tournament decks. After the Archetype Deck Challenge weekend, with over 55 million battles played, we looked at the results and here are the win rates of the decks:
    • Spell Bait (32%)
    • X-Bow (33%)
    • Splash Yard (37%)
    • Hog Cycle (40%)
    • P.E.K.K.A Ram (49%)
    • LavaLoon (56%)
    • Three Musketeers (60%)
    • Giant Double Prince (65%)
    • Bridge Spam (66%)
As you can see, the first round of decks had a few imbalances that we needed to address. The bottom 3 decks were a bit outdated for the current meta and lacked some key cards to really make them thrive. The top 3 decks had too many win conditions and not enough counters to their strategies. Thousands of you gave feedback on how to improve the decks and we took that to heart. Almost every deck was changed in some way, here is a list of some of the changes we made:
    Improvements:
    • Spell Bait gained Inferno Tower to combat heavy tanks (farewell, Tornado!)
    • X-Bow dropped Inferno Tower for the faster Tesla, and upgraded Ice Spirit to Fire Spirits
    • Hog Cycle sped up by switching Tesla for the cheaper Cannon
    Redesigns:
    • Splash Yard was updated to a more modern Graveyard deck featuring Rascals
    • Giant Double Prince was rebuilt into a Giant Sparky deck (we couldn't leave her out!)
    • The Bridge Spam deck was rebuilt into a Double Prince deck to slow its cycle down
These aren't all the changes either! We added two new competitors, Mega Knight and Mortar decks are now part of the Classic Decks roster, providing more counters to Three Musketeers in the deck options. These 12 decks feel more balanced and ready for regular Clan Wars action. We plan on continuing to balance and update these decks over time – and maybe add more as new win conditions are added to the card pool...
