Help won't let me connect to my online server

Hello, it does not let me connect to the online server where I have been for more than 1 year. They recently made changes and suggested opening a port on our router for better access (which I don't understand) and I entered the router using the ip 192.168.1.254 and opened the port. But it won't let me in either. Someone knows?

I should also ask on what client? console? steam? epicstore? I dont think epic crossplay is added but x10power would know
