The regular season is finally over and we are sitting at third seed going into playoffs and our first match is against Hopscotch Toss on cp_gullywash. Going into the game we knew that the roster was going to be incredibly crude as SocialistFish was out of town and Omnis was having computer problems, which forced us to use two backups. However we managed to beat them 5-1, taking only 27 minutes with great performances from Nate and Benfrank with his high frag count and multiple back-caps!

Next we faced a more challenging opponent in Street Hoops E-Sports, confident from winning the last game but due to roster shake ups and a limited scrim time, our gameplay was on the wrong foot, which is reflected in the 5-1 loss to Street Hoops on cp_metalworks

We figured out our roster issues for the most part and were set to play a much weaker team on one of our stronger maps, cp_granary. Even though we only had a day to scrim, we managed to beat them 5-2 with great performances from Panda and Nate getting the damage and frags in.

Going into our next match we were set to play Bubble Buddies on koth_viaduct, another map where we felt pretty confident on this map. It was anticipated to be a pretty close match up between us, but upon getting into the server we found out that they were forced to use two backups (one of which never played competitive tf2 before). Given these details, it’s not surprising that we ended up beating them with a score 4-1 and everybody playing very well. Nate managed to rack up 51 frags and Hippo chalked up 11 Dominations. 3 - 1

Facing off against the #1 seeded team from the regular season, The Italian Stallions, we knew that we had a challenge ahead of us that would require us to play at the top of our games. Again, however, we only had one day to scrim the map and it became painfully obvious that we were not on the same page during our mid-fights, transitional play, or last pushes. Against a team that had the ability to scrim the map several nights and was given an opportunity to prepare for the match, we tried our best but only managed to lose 5-2 thus marking the end of our season. 3 - 2

We end up the season of ESEA at an impressive 13-3 regular season 3-2 playoffs. Though our season was quite an accomplishment considering the team was a group of rag tag players that was thrown together with ESEA rookies and veterans, we wished we could have gone farther but at least we enjoyed ourselves for the most part and especially appreciated the sponsorship from Lzuruha.
