According to analysts, the charges are related to Wargaming’s alleged support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces during Russia's war with Ukraine. In 2022, Wargaming announced its withdrawal from Russia, and “Lesta Games” became a separate entity. Subsequently, a game called “Mir Tankov” was launched for the Russian and Belarusian markets as an alternative to World of Tanks.
