I am respawning in the nether over lava

I was in the nether, a wraith exploded the portal so didn't have much of an option other than to suicide in the nether to get back. Apparently my spawn point was obstructed, so now whenever i respawn i am spawned far in the air over lava. :/

edit: So i basically can't play at all until my spawn is set somewhere safe
