As some of you may know 1.8 has recently been released. But did you also know Bukkit has been discontinued?! Crazy to think the majority of Minecraft servers run CraftBukkit for their plugins, unfortunately from a post here Bukkit has decided to discontinue the project, word has it Mojang might pick it up and continue it but only time can tell.

I bet something better will come out someday. Just give it time and let everyone play their hands before we all freak out.If you get at least the amount you put into it then go ahead. Otherwise I suggest you don't do it. -
I heard from a friend that spongepowered is in the works of something, they would still need permission from mojang to use it on their servers so I'm curious how things will play out.Comment
