Fans of Symmetra are finally getting what they wanted after so long a way to play Symmetra in the new and upcoming meta ever sense the buff to characters like Solider 76 and torbjörn were seen. There were a lot of changes and most will be happy to see them.
Mechanic Changes;
Photon Projector (Primary Fire)
Photon Projector now locks on from seven meters, and a power buff up from five meters. Secondary Fire is pretty much the same.
Ability Changes;
Sentry Turrets (Shift)
You now hold six charges instead of the 3 you use to, no longer is it a race to see if you can place all six down before the enemy arrives.
Photon Barrier (E)
Photon Barrier replaces her old 'E' (Photon Shield) with a Reinhardt like shield that travels at walking speed in the direction you looked when you activated the ability. The Barrier will move until destroyed or it hits a movable object, the cool down is 10 seconds starting when you activate the ability. People speculate the barrier has 1000 HP.
Shield Generator (New Ult)
Symmetra is the first hero in Overwatch to have an ult that you can choose what to use, her old teleporter is still there but pressing 'Q' again switches to the shield generator. The shield generator has a hefty 400 hp of which 350 is "shield health" meaning it will comeback after a given amount of time. The generator ignores line of sight allowing you to hide it inside rooms but still giving you and your allies the 75 shields that come with it.
Teleport (Old Ult)
In addition to the Shield Generator Symmetra's teleporter is seeing some changes as well, it is getting some of it's health turned to "shield health" allowing you to be a little more risky with the placement of the teleporter and not having to worry 24/7.
