Asia Today reports that NCSoft, Nexon, Netmarble, and Krafton are locked in a fierce competition to secure the rights to Blizzard Entertainment’s iconic StarCraft franchise. The contract would include the rights to develop new games as well as global publishing rights for the Starcraft brand. The companies, which are the four largest gaming companies in South Korea, are reportedly pursuing the deal quite aggressively. Reportedly, some have even sent executives to Blizzard’s California headquarters to pitch their proposals.
