Weekly Wednesday Character Discussion: The Meek and Shy

We tend to dislike them as guys, but love them as girls. The ones' who cower off in the corner and want nothing to deal with the main character but are inevitably dragged in. Shy girls and Shy guys, while good for mario to jump on, also have their homes in anime. Who are some of your favorite shy characters?

Three that popped into my head, in no particular order: Tenri Ayukawa from The World God Only Knows, Tatsuhiro Satō from Welcome to the N.H.K and Hinata Hyuga From Naruto. Not sure if he would qualify, but Shinji Ikari from Evangelion is pretty reluctant to interact with anyone.
