Best Antivirus 2017?

I been looking for a new antivirus since AVG has seem clunky lately for me. I have no clue in this field and when I look up best antiviruses for 2017 this is the list I get:

McAfee AntiVirus Plus (2017)
Symantec Norton AntiVirus Basic
Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus
Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Avast Pro Antivirus 2017
Emsisoft Anti-Malware 2017
ESET NOD32 Antivirus 10
F-Secure Anti-Virus (2017)
Trend Micro Antivirus+ Security (2017)

Are these the best or something else out there that is solid?

None of the above.

Microsoft's built-in AV (Windows Defender Antivirus) is good enough and doesn't have a history of introducing tons of additional issues.

http://robert.ocallahan.org/2017/01/...re-except.html has some background info (he's a former Firefox dev who agrees with Chrome devs that AV software usually makes things worse, not better).

Yeah that all I use is Windows Defender just be sure to keep it updated (Don't worry MS does a good job for you on this :| )


Also best antivirus is to be smart on what you click!

I do a few things I use both maleware bites and adware cleaner with windows defender (all free). I also rarely get any type of viruses cause I turn on a adblocker and popup blocker if I'm on a sketch site.
