Yes it is true! Season Two will not be starting soon as they extended Season One longer for people to still work on their ELO for the next season while they work out some issues for Season Two launch.

Not all is bad news though! They will be giving us a new Kayle skin! They have decided to issue each and every summoner that played at least 10 games over the course of Season One in any game mode a special, commemorative skin for Kayle, the Judicator.

    Official Announcement:

    "Summoners!

With Fnatic bringing home the gold in our Season One Championship at DreamHack, the Season One Circuit has officially come to a close. Following this historic occasion, we will no longer be issuing Season One Circuit points for sanctioned tournaments. If you would like to have a look at the final standings, you may do so by visiting our Season One Circuit forums .

If you’re still interested in capturing a little bit of glory from our first competitive season, however, the ladder season is being extended. We will announce the completion date for ladder competition in the coming weeks, along with the details on rewards on the ranked ladders for our platinum, gold, silver, and bronze placement winners. Once ladder competition has been resolved, we will officially end Season One.

In addition to these great rewards for our competitive ladder champions, upon the completion of the season we will be giving everyone who participated something special. So we have decided to issue each and every summoner that played at least 10 games over the course of Season One in any game mode a special, commemorative skin for Kayle, the Judicator, to thank for helping to make the our first competitive season such a smashing success.

Also stay tuned for further information on the competitive ladder as Season Two draws closer! We will be performing a partial ladder reset to mark the beginning of Season Two. Rather than a full reset, players will have their Elo rating reset to certain milestone values based upon their finish at the closing of Season One. More details will be coming as we draw closer to the event.

We hope that you enjoyed participating in League of Legends Season One as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing everyone make one final push for a strong finish in the ladder standings." - Riot

what people don't understand is that instead of going back to 1200 you will be dropped down to a benchmark elo but everything else will be the same as a hard reset. you start with 0-0 score and you get the same +-30 that you did when you first started.

  • Team Curse Adds Piglet
    by Ari
Recently a lot of League of Legends teams have been disbanding or shaking up their rosters. Curse has also just announced a shake up with their line up due to the performance in LCS. Curse management decided to bump David “Cop” Roberson down to the Curse Academy roster and bring in the SKT1 titan Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin to take over the ADC role now for Curse for 2015 LCS season. I think its safe to say all eyes will be on Curse in their first match to see if Piglet and Curse made the ri...

  • Update to Summoner's Rift Incoming
    by Disenchantment
The new Summoner's Rift will be rolling out soon but what does it really mean? the fundamental structure of the map remains untouched. Flashable walls, turret ranges, lane sizes, brush interaction and ward placements are exactly as they are on the current map so what is the update really? Riot is trying to create clarity when it comes to spectating the game and create less confusion for the players with the current textures. When fights break out, the environment should be the background, allo...
