About the Prize:
The Stanley Parable is a first-person narrative exploration game that plays with the concept of choice and player agency. You control Stanley, a man who discovers one day that all his co-workers have mysteriously vanished. As you explore the empty office, a witty and sometimes passive-aggressive narrator comments on your every move, offering instructions you can follow or defy. The gameplay involves walking, exploring, and repeatedly making decisions that branch the story into wildly different paths, each leading to unique endings. It’s light on traditional mechanics, focusing instead on storytelling, humor, and meta-commentary about video games themselves. Every playthrough is short, but the real experience comes from replaying and uncovering how your choices (or lack thereof) affect the outcome.
