Major League Gaming also known as MLG may be very well undoing all the work they have accomplished. The Organization seems to be gripped by greed and introduced new rules for the rest of the MLG's to come.
A player jersey's front nor sleeves must not have any sponsor logos. Sponsor logos are instead meant to be sported at the back of the jersey no bigger than 4" x 4", and only on the lower half of the jersey.
"Player apparel must comply with the above rules when playing on the main stage. Players/Coaches who do not have a MLG produced jersey or approved jerseys that follow the above guidelines will be given a blank MLG jersey to wear on the Main Stage," can be read in the email. "Player/Coaches who do not follow the above guidelines and refuse to wear the blank jerseys will forfeit their match."
Could we all be witnessing the demise of MLG? With a lot of leagues starting to get involved I am not too sure if it's the wisest thing to anger the people who made MLG what it is today! Time will tell though!
Both FXO and Fnatic took to twitter enraged about this new rule and now many more are joining them.

UPDATE
Ok - so in a nutshell the post regarding team uniforms that was recently posted was not yet ready for public consumption. The email that was sent out was sent early and out of context. My goal is to work with teams and players to design a standardized uniform jersey that can be rolled out for next season. As in 2012. The uniform that is in the email that went out was originally intended to open up what happens on the Halo side of things. Not unilateral.
Anyway - My hope is that a company that I run would not release anything this important or impactful via a blanket email. It's simply not OK. I have been spread thin lately and people were trying to follow my directions but somehow the intent was lost in translation.
TLDR version -
There will be NO jersey changes for this season other than Halo teams being allowed to add sponsors to the jerseys as presented in the email.
I want to work with teams and players to design a true league uniform that will work for all parties. -Sundanced CEO of MLG
