LzH Zelda Marathon 2014

Heyo!

Team LzH is kicking off our twitch stream channel (http://www.twitch.tv/mylzh) this year with a fun Zelda-themed speedrunning event. If you are interested in participating, please post your information (see below) here in the forum. If you would like to offer commentary, please post your offer as well. More details (including the date of the event) will be unveiled soon. As of now, the plan for the event is to follow the Four Swords Timeline, then the 3D Zelda games Timeline, which looks like this...

tMC (The Minnish Cap) => FS (Four Swords) => FSA (Four Swords Adventures) followed by...

OoT (Ocarina of Time) => MM (Majora's Mask) => TP (Twilight Princess)

Feel free to offer other games, such as Oracle of Seasons or the Wind Waker. However, note that any run is subject to being cut.

By the way, I don't want to preempt CK or someone else from offering ALTTP. I know there are better ALTTP runners than me on the team, but I figured I'd offer just in case nobody else did. If other people want, we could do a race or something.

Races for any Zelda game would be awesome! I am open to any category that completes the game from start to finish. Previously, a couple runners and I discussed that a MST (Medallions, Stones, Trials for those who are unfamiliar) race for OoT would be cool. Remember that this event is purely for fun, so go wild with the ideas right now and we will work out the details later.

Thing is, the only Zelda speedrunning I've done was OoT Glitchess CD, though I'm considering getting into ALTTP (namely Any% No S+Q) but I've only really done through escape - BK skip too stronk. If I manage to learn it and it's not too late into planning I could maybe participate in a race, otherwise I'm not sure. xD

nope, you're good, RW. and i'm totally down for races, be it ALTTP or TMC.

The only games I had interest in learning are either already well covered or likely of less interest due to me being rather more into the old school. If there is time or lack of volume of others interested I may still consider trying to learn something for this though... but I imagine there are those with a far higher profile than I who would draw in more viewers.
