After suffering our first defeat to Team RivaL. Our boys were put in the position to test how mentally strong and if they could rebound back against Anonymous5 (2-1-0) who has notable players on the team like Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson, ex-Ninjas in Pyjamas member and Kyle "Ksharp" Miller ex-Team3D. Our team started on the Terrorist side on de_cbble racking up 9 rounds and dropped 6. Once our boys swapped over to Counter-Terrorists, it was a complete shutout with a 7-0 CT side and ended the match with the final results 16-6!
With this victory, it shows our CSGO team has the mental strength to rebound back stronger than before after a bump on the road as well compete with some of the top players in their respected game. Lzuruha is now 3-1-0 in the ESEA Main division.
Statement from Jayel on the match:
After our loss last match vs rival and all the close rounds that went Rival's way, the team spirit was a little bit low but we still were confident. The loss knowing that the match could have gone either way last match fueled us to play with more vigor and hunger for the win. I also called more loosely and let everyone play more comfortably which turned out good vs a team like Anonymous5 who has seasoned professionals like Fifflaren from NIP. I called a lot more aggressive strats on T side instead of our previous slower default as well as hitting drop to control the middle of the map to force the B players to reposition into worse spots so they don't get crossfired. Jdwede played confidently and looked for gun fights where he won the majority of them. Colt- had a huge ct pistol round with a huge 3k. Paprika and lightworker also had huge t-side rounds where Paprika got a crucial 3K at A during a gun round and lightworker got a godly tech9 entry headshot on Fifflaren's awp to open up the site and winning us the round. Looking forward towards the next matches, we hope to win out now that we’re finished with Cobble.
