2012 Battle.net World Championship

Blizzard has announced it won't be doing a BlizzCon coming up so they can primarily focus on the games that are currently in development such as Diablo 3, Heart of the Swarm and Mists of Pandaria. Upset? Don't be! Blizzard has announced something in it's place this year which will be the 2012 Battle.net World Championship. NASTL will then kick off with the frist broadcast on Thursday, January 19th at 6pm PST. The Team league will consist of 7 weeks of pool play for the $10,000 prize pool, running Thursday through Sunday nights each week. The league will be made up of four invited teams and four teams that will have to qualify through a massive open qualifier.

A field of 32 entered the competition. One emerged victorious. Jang “MC” Min Chul came away as the winner of HomeStoryCup IV! After finishing second in his group, MC entered the top eight ready to carve his way through the opposition and claim his first place prize of $7,500 over Sound crowning Sound 2nd place with the $3,500 prize!

The fifth StarCraft II League season has arrived! At this time, Season 4 milestones have been awarded, and bonus pools and standings have been reset. Hidden skill ratings used for matchmaking and league placement have carried over from the previous season, so players who have completed placement matches in a previous season will only need to play one new placement match to kick off the new season.
